Hello and welcome back.
How are you and how are progressing with your wonderful journey called 'your life'? My hope in sharing this journey we have been taking together has been thought provoking, soul stirring, and most of all enjoyable.
Continuing along the same thoughts I left off with in my last post of being present -- being in the here and now puts you in a state of awareness, mindfulness and alines us with God (Universal Spirit, Source Energy, etc... whatever you choose to connect with. I love using God - that resonates with me). Aligning so we can converse with that higher power. Talking with God on a continuous basis to stay connected and a constant state of prayer. This too helps us stay present and in the moment. Then you do what the Bible states, "Ask and ye shall receive". I believe this applies to everything. Ask God to go forth into your day, guiding you, paving the way so you can meet all challenges with grace, understanding, patience, tolerance, etc... Believe me, it works. I begin each and every day with yoga and warm up exercises then quiet time where I commune with God and my guides or guardian Angel. A time I take to be thankful for my blessed life, the wonderful people who have come and gone throughout my life. I also ask for guidance for what lies ahead. This helps me to be present, in the here and now. Then as my day unfolds I meet each challenge with confidence that I'm divinely guided to make the right decisions for what is best for all. For we will always have challenges. It is why we are here. It is through our challenges that help us grow. We get to know ourselves, our weaknesses, as well as our strengths. It is how we choose to move through and with these challenges that determines how well we complete them and move on.
I do believe this through my own personal challenges, how much I surrendered to God's guidance and applied it and believe this for you, as well. I know that whatever challenges you're going through, you will come through stronger, some how changed by the experience and you'll come back into your joy once again.
It's so fascinating that here lately the books I'm reading and the other media I've been listening to or watching ("Joy Riding The Universe" by Sheradon Bryce; an audio book by Edwene Gaines; some lectures I've watched online) have really been focused on our communion with God, being present and our self love and their importance. You can't expect to receive love, respect, understanding etc... if you don't have those for yourself. As it's written in the Bible, "Love thy neighbor as thyself." How can you give love if you don't fill yourself with love. So it's time to honor yourself, love yourself and most of all forgive yourself for everything. Ask God to forgive all your past and present mess ups. Embrace yourself with acceptance and love. Be your own best friend and treat yourself with kindness. This will then flow over into your life, your experiences and your relationships. Truly love yourself and embrace the spirit light that you are.
Something wonderful and magical happened when I took this journey down this road. Especially when I went meatless, stopped eating meat & dairy. At first it was for ethical reasons. It hurt to see the cruelty to these animals just to feed my pleasure and taste buds. Now being off meat I have no desire to eat it ever again. It smells dead to me now. Yuck. It's amazing how more aware & sensitive you become to yourself, your surroundings, people, the environment & Mother Earth. I guess I knew on some level but never truly realized the effect the effect of what you eat not only on your physical body but your spirit and well being, too.
I feel more in tune with the heartbeat of my body, my spirit, our planet and even the universe, it's so awe inspiring. To be so, as in the movie "The Matrix" unplugged. When you eat meat, processed foods and drug effects of eating dairy keep you poisoning your body, you're also plugged in to indifference and asleep to what is real. Not to mention the cruelty to the animals, contributing to world hunger and damage to our planet.
Time to awaken, time to unplug and time to work in harmony with plants, animals and Mother Earth. It's our responsibility. To appreciate all that God has given us on this planet. To love it and protect it. Yes, time to be present and aware.
Once again thank you for joining me on this journey of self discovery. I do believe in you and I believe in your greatness.
Take care and God Bless
