Hi and welcome back to Monarch Mystic
Today is Fri. 5/9/14 in Oklahoma. I walked early this morning at a pleasant 55 degrees. It was a beautiful morning with the sun barely rising up, all the birds were singing and bustling around on this fantastic Spring day. This was a fabulous way to start my day.
Closing my week, I found myself exhausted and really needing some me time. I ran myself ragged this week. Why? Why do we do this to ourselves? I'm sure you've asked yourself the same question. Yet, we keep doing it to ourselves.
So today is be quiet, be still, listen to my inner voice, listen to the birds and soak in the sun day. A time to just stop.
Oh... that just reminded me of a play I read and took part in, "Stop the World and let me get off". Which threw me into thinking that sometimes we all have felt that way from time to time. When we reach that point where we are being pulled from all sides and we finally say, "Stop!" That is when our inner self is saying,"Stop", "Slow Down", "Breathe", "Regroup". I think sometimes our inner voice even screams at us.
It's so important to listen to that inner voice or some call it your still small voice within. Your inner voice knows what you need and it's so important for us to listen. So that is what today is. Today is quiet, me time. Time to recharge my battery. Time to realign myself with my goals and my spirit.
What about you? Are you taking time to be still, to slow down and to just listen? Or are you allowing everyone, circumstances, world events, etc... swallow you up? Are your goals and dreams getting lost in the chaos? Maybe these are some questions you need to ask yourself and take some "me time" to listen to your inner voice and listen to what it's trying tell you and guide you.
I know I've been talking about goals and dreams in my previous blogs and how important it is to have them in front of you at all times. They are your motivation and your "why" to what you're doing to achieve them. And as you achieve each goal along the way, that is your measurement of your progress. But we still need to have balance; work hard, rest and play. This means to work hard toward our goals, rest and regroup with "me time" / "quiet time" and play time with family, friends etc...
I have found with my busy schedule lately that I have been guilty of not being balanced. That is why today turn out to be so important. I could stop, relax, review my goals and dreams and just decompress. Fantastic day to do this. And it has become very rewarding.
And also in today I found a reminder of how blessed my life has been. How I'm so thankful for the wonderful people who have come and gone in my entire life to help me along my journey and to help me become the person I am today.
Ha! You may ask : "What about the people who have hurt you, caused you pain etc...?" Well them, too. You see it's all relative: we can't know happiness without experiencing sorrow; we can't appreciate good health without experiencing illness; knowing love without experiencing meanness or unkindness (I prefer meanness or unkindness to hate); etc... You understand and you've heard this all before. But it's so true. And I find it's always a nice reminder.
So again, I thank "Everyone" and every experience that has brought me closer to finding my purpose in life and where I am as I move, live and have my being in that purpose.
Now it's time to find your quiet time, listen to your voice within, look at your goals, where you are, where you are going and realign with your purpose.
Thank you again for joining me on this quest in life. I believe in you! I believe in your purpose! Continue to aspire higher!
Take care and God Bless!
